How to Remove Glued Gasket from Air Cln Lid

Wanting to rechrome 17" GM Air Cleaner Lid (70 Z28 & Big Block Also)

Anybody have advice on how best to loosen glued gasket without damaging????

use a hair dryer to heat it up, then use a razor blade to peel the gasket off. Practice on a label from any package you have to see how easy it is, just take your time.

Once you heat the gasket and are able to start to peel the gasket up a solvent like prep-sol will expedite the process.
