Have not even read the article yet. Just thought I would post it here.

Save yourself the headache and read this. I believe the car is still for sale if that means anything.

This 1969 SS396 TH400 bench seat car was not a good candidate for a Yenko 427 Nova.
There would have been a problem with the Yenko conversion for a 1969 Nova TH400 with bench seat. A 1969 Nova TH400 with bucket seats would have fit the Hurst Dual Gate shifter but with a bench seat the Hurst Dual gate shifter would have been a tight fit. If some one really wanted a 1969 Yenko 427 Nova TH400 with bench seat , they could have left the column shifter but a bucket seat car would fit the Hurst Dual gate shifter much better. The Yenko ads said that the 1969 Yenko 427 TH400 cars came with a Hurst Dual gate shifter so this could have been a problem with a bench seat Nova. In 1970 , Yenko solved this problem by the installing the (new for 1970) Hurst Auto Stick shifters in the Deuce TH400 bench seat cars. photos show Yenko Camaro Chevelles and Novas |
