A heartfelt THANK YOU to Dave Belk for helping me find my new 2002 Berger SS Camaro

I just wanted to publicly THANK Dave Belk from the bottom of my heart for helping me find a 2002 Berger SS Camaro. I posted a wanted ad on this site on 1/19/2025 and Dave directly emailed me the next day. After a couple days of talking on the phone, we nailed down what I wanted and just a few short days later, a car's in my garage. Here's the part that I really appreciate.......Dave wanted NOTHING for his time and expertise. He just truly wants more people enthusiastic about these very cool historic cars. He vouched for me and told me he felt that I would make a good steward to these cars.

I NEVER anticipated it was so hard to find one of these cars. There's only 100 Bergers, a couple hundred other models made, ALL highly collectable and the enthusiast community surrounding these cars is SUPER tight. I found a couple publicly sold examples, but they were from 2021 & 2022. Dave has a few himself and brought me right to the head of the table with the "gatekeepers" so to speak....lol. In a weird twist, I found out that there are few owners of the GMMG cars as most owners own multiple cars and usually trade between each other. I sat on the sidelines back circa 2002 and watched many of you buy Bergers, ZL1's, Dick Harrel cars, etc. Now I own an AMAZING 9K mile HIGHLY documented example.

I'm sorry for my inability to navigate this antique "classic" site , so I can't post pics. Here is my car a few years back when it was publicly for sale.

Once again, THANK YOU Dave!

Cool! I really like the silver w/black stripes. I used to live in Mooresville, NC, my neighbors father-in-law bought a DEI Intimidator SS and i saw several of them around town back in the day. I have an '02 SS.

Congrats on the new ride...my Karen certainly enjoys hers. Bought it new in 2002 and she loves it. Drives and handles great...thanks to Dennis Barker for all his help.

The photo is Karen with our friend Tony "the Greek"...he has done all the detailing and service since it was new.
