So cool. The couple times I've been able to reunite an engine with the original car have been memorable, but this is next level.

This is not the 1st time Tim was involved in reuniting an original L88 engine. A few years ago I contacted Tim & asked him if he knew of a red 69 L88 in TX missing its original engine block, after sending the VIN & engine stamp to Tim to verify, the car belonged to a friend of his in his local group of friends. My friend here in PA bought this L88 engine block over 30 years ago & always told me it was a 427-435 block until I looked at it closer realizing what it was.

Super cool story. I was chuckling to myself when the editor wrote about people confusing the L88 with the triple carbureted 435hp RPO L68.

The L88 block you called me on is back in Carl's 1969 L88, we're having a tech session for NCRS at his shop here in Austin on Saturday and the L88 will be front and center.

It's always good to reunite any engine with the car it came out of.
