I'm assuming you tried the variants of soap and water. Do you have some enamel reducer around? It may be worth a try

i will try that

Maybe oven cleaner?? I've used that with success for cleaning plastic parts, don't leave it on too long.

I have used a pressure washer to remove spray bomb paint with good success. The paint doesnt typically bond very well to plastic.

Plastic car modelers use brake fluid to remove paint from parts and bodies. I would test a piece of the plastic in it first. Must be soaked in it for day or two.

Don't use brake fluid, use this,LA's totally Awesome Cleaner.I've been using it to strip paint and plastic chrome coatings off of plastic for years. It' will never hurt plastic and only dissolves paint or applied colors.https://www.dollargeneral.com/p/la-s...z/722429640222...You can get most anywhere, but cheapest at Dollar stores.

so do you have to soak it in this cleaner or just work it in

Soak it,not rub or spray on as it takes time to loosen the paint.I usually fill a tupperware container and put all my small pieces in it overnight un-covered & no gloves,(it's not caustic)...A good 12 or 24 hours should suffice at warm room temperature. Then rinse your item under running cold water and towel dry.
Being yours is a much larger item,I would buy a few gallons and soak half of it in a bucket or drum, then repeat on the other side a day later.
I re-use mine over & over & over again, after I filter out all the loose crap.
Once it turns dark & weakens, you can dispose down a sink/toilet.
