The blue Yenko is the 'future' Otis Chandler car. Check out the sport mirrors, and the original owner silver Yenko with the '70's style bolt-on stuff. Love the chin spoiler, and antenna!! Will find out when and where this photos was taken. Marlin |

Re: Another cool pic!
How did this car get from Ohio to CA?
Original owner who lived in PA bought the car over in Ohio new. He then advertised the car in Hemmings around '78-'79, R.Smith from CT came and bought it. (Smith was looking for one to replace the Gobi Beige Yenko Nova he bought new in '70 at W.R.Austin, because he had traded it in at a Chevy dealership in TN in '73.) Smith sold the blue car to fellow CT guy 'Alan' in '81, who offered it to a local guy in '87. Local guy already had a Forest Green one from Bresee Chev, Syracuse, NY so he passed. Another local guy passed as well since he had a Fathom Blue Yenko Nova from Scuncio Chev, RI. Greg Joseph in CA purchased the car soon after for the Otis Chandler collection. CT was/is an active state for Yenko cars, much more so than most people think!! Marlin |
Re: Another cool pic!
Marlin, Nice pics! I met the guy with the Blue Deuce from Scuncio at a cruz nite here in CT. He was in the process of getting a computer at that time. Do you have an e-mail address for him?

Re: Another cool pic!
Thanks John,
I sent the guy who just bought this car to the Scuncio Yenko via phone number, he knew 'R Smith' and the photos and history started coming!! I called another Yenko Nova in the Eastern TN area to check out this 'Gobi Yenko Nova traded in' story. He remembers the car back in the early to mid 70's, but has not seen it since then. He will keep an eye out. Amazing how these cars got around the country so early in their lives. We don't yet know how yours got from Syracuse to Norwalk by '74-75. Marlin |
Re: Another cool pic!
FYI;
I should correct my prior post, Yenko did not actually change the wheels - he subcontracted that out to a tire shop that was across the street from the dealership. The tire shop is now under new owners, and they rent the back half of the original Yenko dealership. Their office is Don's old Dyno Room!! Marlin |
Re: Another cool pic!
Marlin, Did the Deuce use any SS Nova parts?
The grill looks like it has the silver grid patern like a non SS Nova. |
