Non-Winters Intake
I just picked up a Chevy big block hi-rise rectangular port intake. It does not have the Winters snowflake nor a casting date on the bottom. It is a 3933163 piece. Did someone else cast intakes for Chevrolet?

Re: Non-Winters Intake
The "163" intake was a popular over the counter intake, as well as being used on the COPO cars. I have seen some that appear to be newer with a "ZEUS" logo cast into it. Anybody know who ZEUS was/is?

Re: Non-Winters Intake
There is a Zeus Aluminum Products in England that was set up in 1974. They cast parts for tha automotive and motorcycle industry. Chevy parts made in England?

Re: Non-Winters Intake
I picked up a complete LS-6 engine at a swap meet for Chad Blomberg. That intake had no snowflake either. Don't recall if there was a date on it. Maybe Chad or Rick can chime in. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif

Re: Non-Winters Intake
I had a 472 intake that had NO snowflake on it. I believe it was a GM over the counter item not cast in the Winters Foundry. You could buy 302 cranks in the old days that had the correct casting but were raw. Had to drill and cut yourself.

My blue Camaro has a Zeus intake atop the LS6.
