Re: Throttle Rod COPO Camaro
bkhpah,
I have seen original low milage COPOs both ways. The repro. assembly manuals that I have show a one piece 67-69 L-78 fotenoted to include 427 COPOs. Is your info based on experience, or do you have other written or official documentation? Could both ways be condidered correct? |
Re: Throttle Rod COPO Camaro
Stefano,
On all the big block 375 cars and COPO/Yenko stuff I have worked on it has been the two piece in 68' and 69. I guess you could say it is by experience. I will look at the manuals later to see the way it is worded. Sometimes I find the manuals are very different from practice...BKH |
Re: Throttle Rod COPO Camaro
Thanks for your input. With less than a couple hundred cars known and even fewer original COPOs, conventional wisdom is just not always accurate. I have seen 1969 COPOs both ways. L-78 Camaros no question, two piece rod. Although I have never had the opportunity to scrutinize an unrestored L-78 cowl induction car. |
Re: Throttle Rod COPO Camaro
The only big block Camaro's that used a one piece rod with a swivel were 67 models. The 68's & 69's used a two piece rod assy on all big block's including the COPO's..........RatPack......
