Torq Thrust Rims

Here is a quickie. What size 15X7 or 15X8 or 15X7 up front and 15X8 out back would retain a stock appearance. What is the magic off-set for a front disc brake car?

Mine are also 15x7's on all four corners. 245/60's and 215/65's.

Tommy, Nice stance!!!! what brand rubber is that ??? Tough to stuff a 60 series tire under a nova these days!!! Boy I miss the L60-15 tire (firestone or pro trac)bias ply!! ( and i am meaning a match set !!!)Straight and tall sidewall!!! Forget this radial bulge garbage!!! Everything is "road handling!!" Roads are 20 fold better than the old days what gives??? Al

Al, those are Dunlop GT Qualifiers just because I get A super Price from Dunlop here (that set was about $250 complete). I do have about A half inch of extra room under the rear thanks to A past owner somewhere down the line who trimmed the inside of the lip slightly. Hard to find those old tires isn't it, I like the look of them too.

Sad part is section width!!even a '69 CAMARO has a chance more so than (NOVA, CHEVY II) does!!!! I guess a 1/4 inch means a bunch!specially if you are dealing with ride height! by the way....I was viewing the 2001 supercar pics...."RON NORMAN"S YENKO CHEVELLE has a sweet "rake, stance, and quality!!!!" (imo) that I have seen as far as a torque thrust look goes on a Large car!!...what is his combo?......RON??? Rich, here are a couple of pictures of a 69 SS396 that I installed a new set of 15 x 7 Torque Thrust D's (std offset)with BFG 215/70-15 tires. These tires are equal to the E70-15 tires found on 69 Z's originally. I usually run 235/70-15's on the rear and 225/70-15's on the front with 7" rims but this customer wanted a tire size that was close to the 69 Z. We dropped the front end about 2" with a spring change to give it the rake it has.

A friend of mine was running 15 x 8 Torque Thrust II's (polished) 0 offset on the rear with 255/60-15 tires but had to remove about 1/4" of the wheel lip for clearance. He could have dropped down to a 245/60-15 and probably would have been just fine...................RatPack............

Is there anyone that has these wheels on a stock 68Z28? I am thinking about putting them on mine, but have been unable to find out the correct size and backspacing for the stock brakes. Tire size is confusing too. A picture would be nice......Thanks for your time......Tony
