Where's all the Yenko Chevelles?

I know the question has been asked before about why so few of the '69 Yenko Chevelles have been found. So, I looked at my info to see where they were sold, similar to what I did with the Deuces, (VA=1,IL=2,PA=3rd).

We know where 89 of the 99 Yenko Chevelles were sold out of, so basically there is a 10% +/- factor for those statisticians out there! Here's the rundown for the 89 known:

PA = 18
OH = 16
WI = 9
VA = 7
IN = 5
KS = 5
KY = 5
NY = 5
MN = 4
ND = 4
IL = 3
IA = 3
MO = 3
CT = 2

I'm not sure what I expected the distribution to be, but I was a little surprised with OH, KS and NY!

Just some FYI.

About 1/3 of total production has been found. That is not too bad of a survival rate over 34 years of crashes, scrap outs, rust outs, repaints (lost identity)etc. Look at the 67 Yenko Camaro. Less then 10 out of about 70 built have been found. How many Deuces, 68 and 69 Yenko Camaros found so far?

I think the '69 Yenko Camaro count is up to around 130 of the 200 +/-, or approx. 65%. The '70 Yenko Novas are around 84 of 175 +/-, or approx. 48%. The '69 Yenko Novas are 8 of 37 +/-, or approx. 22%. I'm not sure on the '67 or '68 Camaro's, but they are pretty low!

I was interested to see where they went, NY has 5 +/- with 4 of them coming out of Byrne Bros. the 5th one is from Bresee. Ohio's were pretty spread out, Kansas was soley from Van Chev. PA was primarily Yenko Chev. with some from Marshall.

There was a Red Yenko Chevelle on one leg of the Power Tour. I think it was maybe Memphis ? He was orig. Owner.

Yunker, Broadway, and Bob Johnson were also WI. dealerships that sold Yenkos. There may have been a couple more?

Lillard:

Would that have been Frank Radake (Sr. or Jr.) out of St. Louis? Frank (Sr.) still has his Garnet Red Francis Chevelle...

I dunno. I didn't talk to him but Larry Christensen did. I just passed him in shock in a Wal Mart parking lot.
