Many thanks to Darren(DarrenX33) and Sam(sc69sam)

A few weeks back Darren informed me of a fellow member selling a very nice complete set of vintage ET 15x7 wheels. Darren knew that I had been searching for a nice set for my current project car. Darren passed up the opportunity to purchase these wheels for his Z, and put me in touch with fellow member Sam Scardino. I recieved the wheels today and I must say I was pleasantly surprised with the outcome. Considering these wheels are well over 30 years old...Sam was right on with his description on these wheels. Sam was also kind enough to throw in both style center caps (round and oval) and a complete set of new lug nuts. Very kind of you Sam. I thank both Darren and Sam for truly being great enthusiasts and role models of our sport. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif

Hard to beat starting the day off any better than reading something like this. Glad all those involved did what was expected let alone go above those expectations. Reading this just makes the start of the day so much better.

I told Dan the same thing offline. To me this is the whole purpose of this site. Helping each other out. Always glad to help. However, no cheesesteak in the boxes huh Dan? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif

Sam,
Just curious, were those an early 5 spoke style with "Wheel Centre Co." cast inside the rims? Those are what came on my latest '62. (circa 1965)

Yes they were Vern. Walnut Creek, California. I really liked those wheels, but the offset would not let me turn in a 69 camaro. (E.T. wheels) Sam

As I said, my latest Nassau Blue '62 was outfitted with those back then and I have 4 nice ones. They are definitely going back on the car.
I know this isn't the classified forum, but since we're mentioning helping each other........I've found plastic replacement screw-on center caps, but would really like to find original metal ones. Also, I can't find lugs anywhere that are short enough. The hubs on those wheels are very thin. Any help or private leads would be very much appreciated.
