79 TA one owner car
My dad bought this car new in 79, t-tops, red with black interior, 305 4-speed, all original except wheels and tires that where added in 1980 or so. It has 60,000 miles on her as well. Any ideas on value? Thanks https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif

Re: 79 TA one owner car
Unfortunately, the 305 Chevy powered cars, along with the California 301 powerplant, and the widely produced 403 Olds powertrain, are not very collectable in the 79 Trans Am. Most people are looking for the Pontiac 400 engine (4-speed only in 1979), or the 10th Anniversary Trans Am model (403 auto or 400 4-speed).
If your car has the WS6 package (4-wheel discs, 8" snowflake wheels), that adds some value, but remember, they made over 100,000 Trans Am's in 1979, so the collectors are pretty picky. Based on condition, could be worth anything from $3000-$6000. |

They did build a ton of 79s. But the Red with Black interior is very cool. You don't see many of the red ones around anymore.
