70 AAR Cuda ...what's it worth?
Need some guidance from you MOPAR fans. I've got an older friend in town who has a 1970 AAR Cuda that he is thinking of selling...but not yet. He would like to get an idea of it's value versus selling one of his hot rods as he has too many cars in the garage. The car is numbers matching (original engine, transmission and rear end)with the build sheet. Car is Sassy Green (lime green), no vinyl top, black interior, automatic with headers and minor changes from stock such as hotter cam, headers, etc. This Cuda is a #3 condition car with about 75,000 miles on it. What's a ballpark figure of it's value?

ZL1, these cars have taken a bump up through the 30K mark. something with paperwork and not needing metal work should bring 40K. here are a few for sale.

Re: 70 AAR Cuda ...what's it worth?
a great car to have. 6pk Mopars are hot. I thought I saw in the most recent MCG, a #1 AAR went for 200k + I can only assume a highly documented 4 spd car...if the red AAR 4 spd on the Cudaworld sight gets sold @ 195 ish it sure would make things interesting! automatics dont bring as much but how far behind could they truly be? Re: 70 AAR Cuda ...what's it worth?
a good done AAR 4spd with paper work and #s is easily 100-200 (Color and option sensitive) . A nice driver automatic in a great color, broadcast, is easily between 40-60.
Restored up to 85+. My $.02. |
Re: 70 AAR Cuda ...what's it worth?
a buddy of mine had the chance to trade his 70 hemi charger (non original hemi car) for a 70 AAR (burnt orange) and he asked me if it would be a good deal. i told him it would and he decided against it. i showed him some prices on AAR's and he said, "damn, i wish you would of made me do it".

Re: 70 AAR Cuda ...what's it worth?
It would sell in a heartbeat for 50k to 65k if its a nice #3 and what you say it is.
