What engine is this "CTB" code

A buddy here in NJ just traded his Ford pickup for 20,000 mile, 68 Chevelle SS396 (former race car but really clean body) The engine block numbers are: T1115CTB. Any idea what this block is or was?

CTB is an LT1 with a 4spd... '70 that is...
Most likely came out of a Z28...

Not with the Tonawanda stamping. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif Most likely it is a 1972 402/240hp engine.

1972 Fullsize Chevrolet 402/240hp with manual trans and smog
1972 Camaro, Chevelle and Monte carlo 402/240hp with auto trans and smog

1974 Fullsize Chevrolet 400/150hp 2bbl auto trans https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/haha.gif

Thanks for the info. I did forget to say it was a big block, so sorry for the confusion. He definitely got a bargain in this deal.
