Gardner Hangers/Clamps

I'll be installing my first Gardner exhaust within the next few days, and noticed that the hangers appear to be bare steel. What have you guys used or recommend to keep them looking good, or if anything is necessary at all?

Im not a big fan of clearing bare steel, so I was thinking Boeshield. I also have a Sherwin Williams Metal Etch product that is supposed to preserve metal, but I havent tried it out on anything yet.

Thanks for any input.

Well.... looks like they offer a "concours" kit with stainless/plated parts.

Guess I'll be looking into an exchange.

Dave, I have repop chambered system on my 69 Camaro big block. Hangars and clamps are mostly bare steel. I;m also looking for a realistic solution that I can use on my driver ...........

Dave,

I spoke to Eric Gardner a while ago and he told me that the
SS hangers were the best bet for anti-oxidation. I plan to
replace my current chambered system with the Gardner system
shortly and I expect to get the SS hangers.
