Missing body plugs

I am looking for 2 extra quarter panel plugs for my 70 Camaro. I believe these use some type of rubber grommet to seal as well. Pics below:

Paul,
Though very hard to find up here in the midwest, check out some of the older bone yards in your area. They were very common on a varity of GM cars in most body styles. I have a few but they are VERY difficult to find where they are not rusted through. They use a redish colored open cell foam gasket ring on the back and the green paint is very close to Cummins Diesel green which can be bought in a spray can. I do see them on ebay from time to time. Sorry I cannot help but I go through lots of these and they don't come easy in up here. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif

HRPaul,

Is that the original patina on those quarters? Wow, those are dry as a bone! Very nice.

Yes, all original with no rust. I will post some additional shots tonight. This particular car in an LA built Z that spent practically all it's life in Georgia, half in storage. The car also has 49,000 original miles.

Our local midwest yards still have 1968-73 GM vehicles holding these.
I usually pick them up off the ground,if the body panels themselves aren't still holding them.
I just clean em up,then hit them with a matching hobby color.
I've even found a foam rubber that is perfect gasket material.
The pair on the far left is done. The others are as found.
I can gladly spare you a couple if you still need them.

If you could spare a couple that would be fantastic. How much for the done pair? Also, I believe there is a rubber grommet (I think) in between the quarter panel and the Plug. One side is missing these grommets, where would I find these? Thanks Rick.

Were those used on the trunk drop offs on 69 Camaros?

MR 70,Would you be willing to divulge the color name and company that makes it and your source for the foam gasket?

Re: Missing body plugs

Sure..The closest color match I found is called Green Sea Opaque made by a company called Delta.
The foam gasket I make is from a 2mm Cocoaish colored foam 12X18 sheet sold at hooby centers.
