Just from my own experience,I have seen them as orignal equipment on some Corvettes & conventional Trucks.

i have a 111480 dist. with one dist. was a early take out

Rick is right a couple of vette applications but mainly seen them on dump trucks. They were more of a severe service application vs high performance yet we used them and the truck points in the racing days with no problems.

1970 LT1 Corvette with TI, for one. My cap has 9k mi on it along with the rest of the car.....
