Cool ride. Great find. My parents met in Grove City in 1952! Beautiful part of the country. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/cool.gif

I was very lucky to find this car and close the deal. I also located many of the original early take off parts just recently. I picked up the air cleaner, complete smog system with pulley and tubes, exhaust manifolds, exhaust tips, and resonators.
There is another seperate thread on Team Chevelle where I posted to try and find the original M22 tranny under the restoration header - Looking for Muncie M22 If anyone here has any clues that would be great. Very interesting history on this car. |

Re: Build Sheet Pic's
Car was owned by a local named Rob Larsen. He has since passed. Once he took delivery of the car he immediately took off the 454 emblems and replaced with 396 emblems and paraded the car around as a low perf 396. Apparently, he made quite a few bucks until the word spread of this red 396 in the local circuits.
He also immediately removed the exhaust system and replaced with headers, also removed the smog system, and many of the original engine components(card, distributor, intake, etc). I have since recovered many of these original parts. I also met several of Rob's local buddies who told many stories of Rob and the local street scene in Franklin, Pa. Lot's of car history there. |
