Someone was in a hurry that day! I guess it's hard to spray the back of the lid when it's on the car?

Is that going to be duplicated in the resto?

That's normal. There should not be paint under the hinges bec/ the lid was painted while installed on the car. The back edge never gets a lot of paint bec/ it's too difficult to get the gun at the right angle.

He'll shoot with DP50 to get the plain steel look, then dust on the orange paint after installing it on the car. If not, we have people in the area that will visit him https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/naughty.gif

Sorry, DP50LF - gotta use the Lead Free stuff now-a-days!

This on has a lot less paint than most I've seen. None have enough, but I tend to think this has less as it's a paint delete, and wasn't painted on the line. You'd think that it would be a better paint job because of that, but appears to be worse. And I honestly can't find any primer. It looks like they shot right over the bare metal. :dunno

Interested to know if the original trunk lid stickers will be left in placed or removed then replaced, or how that will be handled?

Thanks!
