Trailer parts dealers recommendations?
As you can see I need a new brake drum and hub for my trailer. The drum completely sheared off of the hub (They are cast as one piece!) I will most likely replace all 4 since they usually have the same planned obsolescence expiration date on them. They are Dexter 12x2 inch drums with part numnber 8-201. Anyone have any trailer parts dealers they recommend for good prices?

I called Rim & Wheel Service, Northwood, OH, with your part numbers..... They have them in stock for $59.00 each, including bearings and seals, and will ship to NJ for you. They have been in transportation/trailer parts locally since 1929 and apparently one of the best kept secrets as they are only a couple of miles from my shop. I happened upon them recently when looking for springs for my trailer. Great inventory AND service. Call Doug at 800.495.7804 or 419.666.7804

Re: Trailer parts dealers recommendations?
Thanks for the info. I found a trailer supply place in Illinois that has a bunch of the hub assemblies on sale for $51. Got one on the way. I checked the other three drum/hubs and they are fine. I did the old hammer test: If they ring like a bell when you hit them, they aren't cracked. I also greased the bearings while I was at it. So in a few days the old rat-rod trailer should be up and rolling again. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/burnout.gif
