Lombard

According to the Doppler it looked as though the rain was done for the evening and since my car is a driver and is not afraid of a little water of I went. Plus I had a real craving for a slice of Bona Pizza ( I worked there as a kid). I drove through town and was actually surprised that there were e twenty or so cars parked along St Charles Rd. Around 6:30 the sky's got really dark and one more cell of rain came through. At this point I was afraid that some hail might be on the way so I got in the car and started driving west to clear sky's. By the time I drove to Wheaton the sky was clear and the sun was peaking through. We turned back to Lombard and parked. Went down to Bona and got a slice, it was better than I remembered. Kudos to all of the cars that showed up. The car that caused the biggest stir was not a Z/28 or street rod but an Dodge SRT Challenger. I would'nt trade my 70 Trans Am for it but it is certainly very cool...

Yep that was us and Mike (taboo) to . Talk about a couple of "die-hards". We intended to make it "69 Camaro night". It started drizzling on the way there and I found out quickly that my wipers were dead. Not many people there but it was still great to get out after a long winter.

Mike's car is beautiful. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/worship.gif

Best part was the covered parking cause it poured twice when we finally got there.

Stupid rain! Darren if you use Rainex and drive fast enough, you don't need no stinkin' wipers! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif

We just got back from Chevel-Abration....the other 69`s will be there next Saturday. See you there!

Was there any racing that took place on Rt.64? Or do I need to get Dusty out?

Dan.
