To me the car looks like it has been stripped down to bare metal, If you look at the cowl you can see some original orange paint from the stripes, Tail panel looks to have original white paint on it,...

1966 1967 Chevelle L78 EG Motor Found Vin 183204

I have a 66-67 L78 396 with the EG Suffix code, Heads are 840's, Partial VIN on motor is 183204 . Just posting this info up never know if the car is still floating around out there.
