Yes, I agree.. As it turns out, Stock 351 4V Mach 1's were pretty much dogs in terms of actual performance.
16 second "avg" 1/4 mile times with a few mid 15's (whoop-de-doo) every once in a blue...

Stock 351 4V Mach 1's were pretty much dogs in terms of actual performance.
16 second "avg" 1/4 mile times with a few mid 15's every once in a blue moon... 0-60 was a miserable 8.2 seconds...

Hmmm.. I'm obviously looking at a 69 that is advertised as a Mach 1. It sure looks like a Mach 1 and all the stickers are correct, but I just wanted to be sure...

Anyone know exactly how to differentiate between these two?
The "sportsroof" (in the vin) references a Mach1, but ive heard that the plain fastback shares that roof title...
Were there any plain 69...

Are you saying that 69 - 70 GTO's are worth alot more than than the price's I indicated above?

Arent Mach 1's more "desired" or "unique" than the Camaro's and FireBirds of the same era? Are they not generally worth more as well? This has the 351C 4V with a 4spd... I was reading some "stock"...

Wow.. Thanks for all the responce...
The 69 Bird is the roughest of them all and the guys is asking $11k...Its green w/black vinyl top.. The interior is dusty and not well kept but it runs good...

A 69-70 Mach1, an Original 71 Z28, a 69 Pontiac Firebird with a 400cu" engine and 4spd, or a 67 Olds Cutlass, all original (400cu")...
