My friend Rick got the engine prepped to run yesterday. It fired right up and runs great. We may have it on the road tomorrow, I will post some pics.

Finally had a chance to work on the car today. Oil was changed and engine was primed and turns over fine. Carb will be getting new gaskets tomorrow. The carburetor appears to be a 1974 service...

We cleaned up the car some today and it does appear to be a repaint. Looks like old lacquer with some shrinkage but I still can't find tape lines. Still very solid and straight. A few bubbles around...

Here are a few more pics from last night. I will probably not be able to do anything more with the car until tomorrow. We are going to get the car on the rack and drop the gas tank and get it drained...

Here is a pic of the trim tag. The owner says the protecto-plate is in the console but I couldn't get the door open, too tight in there.

I guess this would be considered a garage find. It was parked here by the current (third) owner in 1991. It has 67k orig miles and is supposed to have original paint and interior. I couldn't tell...
