I sold a Accel Amplifier kit to a member on this site by the name of Claton Cartozian that lives in El Verano, CA. The kit had the instructions when I sold it to him.

It will cover it, but how many coats will it take to do that ? I would be looking for a DA random/orbital sander and 80 grit discs to knock it down. Maybe use the trunk lid as a test for that too.

Don't give up on it, yes, take some time to get over it and then start studying how to shrink it back to skim. You can make it better and probably "good enough" for a skim. Finding rust free body...

If the bars on the car now are from Nickey originally and sold by Don - I think I'd try and clean up and re-use them. From a "historically cool" perspective they belong on the car..............JMHO
