Re: Best car story in yenko.net history

Haven't been on here for a while but with my car going into MCACN this year, figured I'd better get with it.

The blue 64 Bel Air that a friend found in a garage in Detroit with a six and three...

Re: Happy birthday dehw31 and x Baldwin Motion!

Thanks, spent the day at Martin at the FAST race where I saw Rob Returning to the staging lanes more than most. Not sure what the outcome was.

The world has a new announcer...

Re: Eyes on Design - 2009

Ever been to a car show were they had just cut the grass? Tracks inside the cars....pain in the ass. Happens at our races, too. That is a gorgeous mansion. We used to take our puppies there for the...

Re: 1968 Mod Rod 442

Interesting way the stories have evolved. I was there, and worked for Bob Stempel. He hired me out of U of Mich. He used to give me a load of crap for driving Pontiacs instead of Olds..I had a 59...

Re: 1968 Mod Rod 442

GM didn't "give" Olds or any other division anything back then. There was considerable competition between Pontiac an Oldsmobile (Chev was always in a world of their own inside Mother General.)No...

Re: 1968 Mod Rod 442

[ QUOTE ]

Re: GM 100th Anniversary Celebration - Tech Center

That white 66 took a 3rd place at the Oldsmobile Nationals in Dearborn this summer. It really is nice and always has been (from California about 10 years ago). Just freshened up this past year. Even...

Re: GM 100th Anniversary Celebration - Tech Center

It was a great show and a good time all day. Awesome cars, and you captured the scope of the whole show in some really good shots. That Yenko Thompson 1961 Sebring was really awesome.

Dan Jensen,...

Re: PURE STOCK MUSCECAR DRAG RACES!!!

You may need rain tires, forecast is very bad for a rainout.

Will be the final race for my Ramrod after 9 great years. Time to stop beating on it.

Tom's a great guy. We both ran F.A.S.T. at...

Re: 1968 Hurst Olds Convertible

All the Hursts built on the assembly line as Hursts at Oldsmobile as part of the group builds were pretty much identical in two major divisions: A/C (W46) and non A/C (W45). The W45 non air ones were...

Me, too, Diego, but I have to agree that it takes more to keep one of these going. That's the quickest I've ever gone through a MCE cover to cover.

Re: "Bullitt "stunt driver Bud Ekins

I had one of the original spinner wheel covers come off the left front of my 60 Vette years ago and nail an oncoming car in the grille. Glad that's all it did. Scary.
