Not all of the coils that had the holes used the metal pieces with the tabs that fit into the holes. I can't pin down when the change occurred, but the type used on late 60's cars didn't have the tab...

More accurately, the holes catch tabs on the small stamped steel guide plates that locate under the wire clips. The guide plates look to be cad plated.

How many 69 Camaro 140 MPH speedos?

Ok, when COPO 9737 was added to 69 Camaros, they got 140 MPH speedos. Two went into ZL1 COPO's, how many were in Yenko Camaros, how many in other garden variety 69 COPO Camaros? Inquiring minds.....
