Before I read your notes about location, I shared the picture with my wife, we grew up in the bay area. We both noticed "our hills" and said yep, has to be the bay area. Curious what the verdict is....

When I was a kid my mom and dad took me to Sambo's. I still remember the menu with little black Sambo and that lion. Had the pancakes. Not a politically correct restaurant these days. Then again...
