Default Jeff Wood's (SSjeff427) Motion Chevelle Tribute

I enjoy muscle cars and have always had a fondness for them for as long as I can remember. I was not fortunate enough growing up to have one, just to gaze at them on every occasion waiting until I could afford to have one of my own.

Having owned many, many driver quality cars over the past 20 years, my first was a 1967 GTO I purchased while I was in the Navy, I had never owned a really nice car. I had owned and sold a lot of desireable and rare cars, but never restored one.

About 4 years ago, I decided that I was ready and in a position where I could build a car like I wanted without taking away from the family. My wife was supportive as I had bought and sold most of the cars I wanted to keep to earn additional income to allow us to have and do the extras.

I wanted something unique, a conversation piece, that not everyone else would have. I thought of several ideas and realized that I had only seen 2 Motion cars in my life here in the south. Although I knew about them I really wasn't well versed in their history so I started to learn. I found that I would truly have something unique and something people rarely get a chance to see, even in a clone if done correct.

The appeal for me in making a tribute came in realizing that not just anyone can do it.
You can't open a catalog, write a check and have a dead on clone without a lot of work and perserverance.

So, 3 years later and looking for MOTION stuff online and at swap meets, countless hours of blood sweet and tears, I have what I think to be the best tribute car to Baldwin Motion that has been made, (My opinion of course), and I respect the fact that some of you may feel that it is blasphemy for me to make it. Just know that I did not make it for resale, and it is not going to pop up in some auction with a "STORY".

It is what it is and that is good enough for me.

P.S. Not only is it correct in appearance, it has ran a 11.42 backed up with an 11.46.
I wanted to be within the 11.50 guarantee Motion Performance touted.
