Default Re: 1996 LT4 Pilot Corvette

[ QUOTE ]
I just purchased a 1996 LT4 Corvette Convertible from the second owner. The cool thing about the car is the buildsheet is marked PILOT. Also, it is an LT4 Convertible (Polo/Tan/Tan) that was built 4/28/95 with a VIN of 5100013. To the best of my knowledge GM was still building 1995 Corvettes at this time through approx. 6/30/95. GM owned the car for the first 8,700 miles and it was delivered to NAO Company Vehicle Operations.

Does anybody know of a site where I could research this car or possibly find photos of it other than the museum site. They are relatively limited and only selling reprints of docs.

Thanks, Ed

I had a 96 Grand Sport it was not a pilot but GM backed hot rod through Mark McPhail, Mark sent me all the parts for the car from GM with all the docks showing my car's vin on and evaluation use only do not return, sad end to it with 10K on the car my first wife totaled it, Then it went to another independent close to Mark, I was going to purchase it back a few years ago wish I did If you can get ahold of McPhail would be a good start, I do not want to give out Phone numbers, I will PM a start.
