I would think that Rob is on the right track as far as why you aren't getting the notifications that you used to get Verne. I would think it would have something to do with your SPAM email account. Have you updated/upgraded your email account lately...or has your internet provider done this?
You can also try and restore the defaults in your internet property settings (Right click on internet explorer and choose properties)...or as a last resort (if it bugs you that badly...) you can restore your computer to an earlier time frame where you weren't having this problem (not recommenrded
).
