Max,
If you want to race with other Historic Trans-Am cars in West Coast events, your car has to have raced in a Trans-Am event back in the '72 and earlier timeframe. If you are looking to race a '67 Camaro and it has no history, there are other organizations that do allow you to race or can at least point you to the right racing group in your area. Try Historic Sportscar Racing (HSR) at

www.vrgonline.org , or Sportscar Vintage Racing Assn (SVRA) at
www.svra.com .
Any of those would be a good place to learn more.
