Dude you hit the nail on the head. I have been saying for a few years that the "street machine' look will be coming back (I HATE the term "day two". I know what they mean by it, but it is a stupid term). I have always been into the "look" (see some of my previous posts) and really cannot stand the numbers matching cars.
I was born in 71...on the North Side of Chicago. Actually a few blocks away from Nickey Chevrolet. Unfortunately by the time I was old enough to know what Nickey was, it was gone. I do remember the High Performance shop though (I remember the chrome wheels in the window). But I guess my point is, I remember all kinds of cars running around Chicago. And the ones that stood out were jacked up, had chrome wheels, were loud beasts. Every now and then I would see a car jacked up all the way around with a straight axle. I did not know much about cars then, but I knew I liked them. And when I got older, I knew more and what I really liked. And it was that bad ass Street Machine look. It was that look that really got me into cars, and it is the look that will always be my favorite.
