I've often thought that's why they don't make them anymore and also why they went to 4.5" wide wheels as they can be DOT approved then.

I suspect they don't make 15x4 wheels any more because 15x4 rim shells are no longer available, but I suppose they could make rim shells themselves if they REALLY wanted to. </div></div>
I spoke with Cragar directly 8-10 years ago when they went to 4.5 and he said due to safety and as other have said dot legal at 4.5
