Verne : Cousin Eddy picked out this color when he ordered the car from Brigance Chevrolet. It was in November of '61. I was there with him and his father, and every time the salesman asked my uncle what option he wanted, he would point to Cousin Eddy and say, "whatever the kid wants"! The car was built in Janesville, the third week of January, and delivered to him in February. The first time we saw it, I almost fell to the ground--it was that beautiful! Cousin Eddy never waivered--the first time he saw that color he said, "My 409 will be that color, I'll call it the Blue Devil"! </div></div>
Eddie was luckier than the original owner of mine. His father bought the car for him when he was still 16 but wouldn't let him get the 2x4 engine, "just" the 380hp. But before the end of '62 he converted it to 2x4s and it stayed that way all its life.
