Default Mooneyes Open House - 7/11/15

I've lived almost my entire life in So Cal(except for 2 years after I was born in Syracuse,New York) and had never been to the Mooneyes Shop in Santa Fe Springs, CA. I heard about the open house through a friend and thought it might be fun to cruise on up, just to get some good BTWT (Behind The Wheel Therapy). I asked about parking and was told to get there early, very early!! I had no idea that parking in the Mooneyes lot was limited to invited/special cars and when I got there I found a spot at a corner burger joint next door and walked over to check things out. The friend that told me about it had his altered-wheelbase Falcon there (which I can't get enough of) and there were a few other really cool cars too. Dale Snoke (the guy who actually built the Falcon) and fellow Nova guy that I met quite a few years ago was actually in charge of who got to park in the limited spots available and asked me if I would like to park there!! I didn't think he was serious and he said that my car deserved to be there due to it's "history." Well, it didn't take long to move it and I felt honored and a little embarrassed at the same time. Speaking of "history", this place had it in spades!! Here are a couple pics from the day............I've got more, including shots from inside the machine shop if anyone's interested.
