Yeah I know. I have seen them catch fire. When I got the car it had an 8 3/4" x 1" round one on it.
I felt it was choking it for air. Being the factory hood with the inner beams, this is all else that would fit, for now.
I could only find 10", 12", and 14" filters. It is temporary, but even it hits the hood. It needs a shorter intake or taller hood.
Every car I have ever had has had a 4" cowl hood. But I hate to alter the stock look of this one. I will find something soon.
