----Eric,,,This saga brought back bad memories. When Jan and I came back from a brief vacation quite a while back I went to pull the door up for the garage in a separate cottage that was on our property. Jans (then) BMW wagon was stored there. Couldn't get the door to budge so I went in the other door. To my surprise, there was a sizeable dent in the hood. The spring just decided to break on its own. I have a good idea how you felt!....Bill S
