Dana,

There's a long drawn out thread on TC with a lot of discussion about stamps. I think the general consensus was that none of the rubber stamps are very good without at least trimming back the rubber with a razor blade to clean them up and make the outside lines more crisp.

Talk is also that the Quanta paint dries too fast during use and is not best applied by the foam applicator to the stamp as it loads it up too much. A suggestion was made that applying a thin coat of paint to a glass surface then picking up the paint using the stamp worked better? I'd think that would cause the quick drying paint to flash pretty quick so I'd practice that before doing the actual firewall to ensure timing and results?

Mike's final stamps on page 5 turned out pretty clean IMO. Before adding any to my firewall I plan to explore some actual colored Inks from a printing shop applied to a regular stamp pad and will test some painted sheet metal to ensure it works the way I want or I might just forego the whole graffiti and stamp process. I'm not really a big fan of it anyways and think a lot of it looks cartoon'ish. I might just add a few crayon marks, a couple of paint marks and correct resto labels from Don Lightfoot and call it a day.

Less is more in my opinion. Hope that link at the top helps you find your answer.
