Default 1969 Corvette 427/400 "512" Engine

1969 Corvette 427/400hp motor. "512" casting, "290" heads.
Block is dated July 9th, 1969. Heads are both dated August 15th, 1969. Engine has
T0820LN stamped on the front pad with no VIN. It appears to have all original paint on it, and doesn't look to have ever had the heads removed. We did remove the oil-pan and timing cover for inspection and doesn't look to have many miles on it. The block is a 2-bolt main with a factory steel crank and still retains the original plastic timing gear. I was told when I bought this motor from a fellow member of this site (now deceased, Ed Lis) that the motor came out of a 66 corvette he had purchased. This 427/400 hp motor was installed at a Chevy Dealer in 1969 when the original 427/435 hp motor "blew-up". Ed told me that this motor and car had less than 15,000 miles on it since installed in late 1969. This motor would be an excellent option for someone looking for a low-mile big block motor for their 1969 or 1970 Corvette!
Can be delivered to MCACN (Rosemont, IL) in November and from there, it could hitch a ride in someone's truck/trailer to just about anywhere in country.

Price is $4,000 (OBO) and would love to see this motor back where it belongs in a Corvette or in a Day-2 Camaro, Chevelle, or Nova!

Please call Jim with any questions @ 312-909-0036

thanks SYC!
