What make/model/year? If it's for a 69 Camaro, I did some research a few years back. From the limited number of replies from owners with original cars, seemed the most likely flasher numbers were Tung-Sol 224 (turn signal) and 552 (emergency 4-way), and possibly Signal-Stat 175 and 170 too. The 1969 AIM calls up several different part numbers, and I wasn't able to find out a definitive answer, nor if there was a difference between standard or RS models. I recall the turn signal flasher was load-sensitive, giving an audible sign (change in rate) that a bulb had blown, whereas the 4-way was constant rate.
None of the 'believed original' assembly-line correct units had 'DOT' on the can, so this was probably a change introduced in the '70s.
