Same thing happened back when I worked at dealerships as a kid. Gasoline on a trouble light started a large fire. Luckily he only suffered minor burns as other mechanics quickly jumped in to help. So no one seriously injured. For years after I never understood why they continued to use those incandescent trouble lights when the fluorescents hit the market. After that I quickly took all my incandescent trouble lights in my shop and hung them on the wall as antiques and replaced with fluorescents.
