Jim, for the hood latch mechanism on a 1969 Camaro, the portion of the assembly that bolts to the hood is zinc (medium grey) phosphate, the spring is painted full gloss black and the attaching bolts are manganese (dark grey) phosphate. The portion of the assembly that bolts to the header panel and rad support is zinc phosphate, the attaching bolts are manganese phosphate and the bolts that attach the horns (2) are either clear (silver) zinc plated or manganese phosphated.
