But back in the 1960s, parents across the country became upset by a rumor that claimed the song “Louie Louie” by The Kingsmen contained inappropriate subliminal messages. The FBI stepped in and spent more than two years putting the tune through various audio tests. And despite producing a 120-page report, the feds merely concluded that the song is “unintelligible at any speed.”
