Some of the best collections in the world have been squirrelled away in containers sitting in the desert, stuck in leaky buildings in rainy climates, put in damp areas with tarps over them, left outside to have trees grow up through them, etc. Tom Cotter wouldn't have a business model if they were all properly stored.
