Not true. The 74 L82 had 202 screw in stud heads,O Rocker arms, steel crank, pink rods, forged pistons windage tray. Basically the same as a LT1 with a hydraulic cam cast intake and quadrajet carb. Non AC cars got the deep groove pulleys. The 73 and 74 L82 engines made 10 hp less that the 71 72 LT1.
