From time to time, GM Design created customized versions of production cars for special customers. This special version of a 1956 Corvette was built for Prince Bertil of Sweden who was a well known auto enthusiast. In addition to a custom interior, this Corvette featured a unique exhaust that exited through the rear quarter, a rear deck fuel filler, a modified grille, wire wheels and a custom exterior color. The car is currently being restored by a group of Corvette enthusiasts in Sweden.
