Very cool car, but it's hard to fathom ordering a 4 speed and not the 350 engine too. I'd have to drop an L48 in there and leave the 307 emblems, eh Tony...
With a complete lack of underside pics, no way to see which trans it is, but you are correct that it would, in all probability, be a Saginaw. And, yes, the M20 designation was used interchangeably for either trans. No mention of it being a Muncie in the description or Canadian documentation and Saginaw didn't provide shifters for their trans, so the Muncie shifter would be correct as well.
