[Big Block Bill]

The first car I ever purchased was in May of 1972, a 1963 red 4Dr. Biscayne when I was 15 years old that had a 230 6 Cylinder and this Air Cooled Powerglide. I paid $25.00 for it and it did not go in reverse, but it had a spare transmission in the trunk. I installed it and it did not go forward, so off to Globe Auto Wreckers and "Fish" took his Michigan and flipped another 1963 they had over on it's side so I could take it's transmission out, and for $75.00 I had another transmission which went both forward and reverse. $200.00 total investment and some ATF and away I went. I got my Driver's license a month later on June 2nd 1972. Then I was driving my parent's 1964.5 289 "D" code Mustang hardtop (the 67th. Mustang ever made), thought that was THE BOMB!
