Being mechanical gauges, I'd rather have my oil pressure and fuel pressure mounted outside.
In case of an equipment failure, whether it be the gauge itself or a blown line, I don't want 6 pounds of fuel pressure covering me with gas in the driver's seat,...or 60 pounds of oil pressure covering me with hot oil either.
